- Whenever I browse the internet using the search engines like bing, google, yahoo etc. Either by using IE or Mozilla firefox it gets redirected. I pull up the search engines than I type my search query. The search engine will pull up the query correctly. But when I click on the search result it automatically redirects the pages to weird sites.
I recently was given permission to edit a website (made with django). When I finished editing, and saved the new edits, I got the following error from Ff:
This didn't work properly so I canceled it. Now if i try to open pinkvn.com in my Firefox or I still get redirected and my IE browser just freezes. That's weird because it only happens on my computer.
'The page isn't redirecting properly.Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies'
I have all cookies allowed for this site. And I don't know what else to do. I've contacted the admin for the site, and he says there is no redirect that he knows of. And I've looked at the page source and don't see any redirect in the code.
Note that the edits I made were successfully saved. Also, I have no idea where it might have been redirecting me to or through, since it was my first time doing this. But again, the admin says there are no redirects.
Can you all give me some info about this error message, that will help me to track down the problem?
Thank you very much.
PS -- And please don't reply by posting search results on the topic title. I've already done that and didn't find an answer. Please reply only if you know something about this. Thanks :-)

firefox has detected the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This is happening in my email program with comcast but does not happen with IE e editThanks to cor-el for the suggestion given in the link. Sadly I have to report:
1) It is not a bookmark problem and it makes no difference whether I put
www.adobe.com or 192.150.18.117 in the address bar.
2) Cookies are allowed and there are no exceptions set
3) All cookies have been deleted
4) network.http.sendRefererHeader is already set to 2
That deals with the items in the linked document.
Additional information:
5) I can get into the adobe site from a clean 'in memory' installation of PuppyLinux using Seamonkey using the same router and dhcp setup.
6) un-installing all Mozilla products - rebooting and re-installing makes no difference even when I remove the mozilla folder from docs&settings.
so as I said in previous post (as annonymous) not a lot makes sense.
Bear in mind that I have no problem running tracert in a command window

Let us know if this solves the issues you are having. - I accessed YouTube briefly, but as soon as I linked my YouTube account to my Google account (now required by YouTube), I got that message.Hey, I have an easier solution. No need to wipe all of your cookies or restart firefox:
Go to Tools > Options, select the Privacy Tab, then click on the link to 'remove individual cookies'.
In the window that comes up, type youtube into the Search box at the top, and then remove all of the cookies that are displayed.
Now when you visit youtube.com you'll be signed out of your account, and you can sign back in without getting the redirect error. - Clearing the cookies didn't seem to work. It just started happening about 2-3 days ago. Could it be an Adobe plug-in or something? I think it updated a couple of days ago but I'm not sure. It only seems to be happening when I try to open a page on LinkedIn article links. You might also need to clear the cache, in case Firefox has cached an old redirect.
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : 'Clear Now'
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
Instead of clicking or Ctrl+clicking the links, try using either right-click > Open in a New Tab or 'middle' clicking with the mouse wheel. These methods of opening the article should bypass tracking scripts, in case one of those is the problem.
